Supporting Victoria’s housing growth.
MCG Consult are helping enable 6,000+ homes across major Victorian housing, build-to-rent and urban renewal projects.
Victoria’s housing challenge is one of the defining infrastructure and community issues of our time. The Victorian Government has set a target to deliver 800,000 new homes over the decade to 2034, while longer-term planning identifies the need for 2.24 million homes by 2051. At the same time, Homes Victoria data shows 57,372 new applications on the Victorian Housing Register as at March 2026, including 32,591 priority applications — a reminder that housing supply is also a social and community wellbeing issue.vic+1vic
At MCG Consult, we know housing is not delivered by policy alone. It is enabled through practical, coordinated work: drainage, flood resilience, road and access design, stormwater management, transport planning, servicing, public realm interfaces and waste management.
Across Victoria, MCG is contributing to housing delivery project by project. Our work spans social and affordable housing, build-to-rent, urban renewal and private residential communities — from Ground Lease Model housing sites and Fitzroy Gasworks, to Highett Common, Richmond Square, Home Albert Park, Lorimer Street Docklands, Berwick Views and 281 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley.
Each project is different, but the purpose is consistent: helping turn complex sites into connected, resilient places where people can live. Solving Victoria’s housing challenge will take many hands — government, developers, community housing providers, builders, councils, designers and consultants. MCG is proud to be doing its part, one project at a time.
