281 Springvale Road — dubbed ‘The Jewel of Glen Waverley’ — is an $800 million mixed-use development by Sunkin Property Group, transforming the former Central Car Park into a landmark high-density precinct in the heart of the Glen Waverley Metropolitan Activity Centre.

Designed by FK Australia (Fender Katsalidis) and with landscape by Tract Consultants, the development comprises 795 apartments across two towers above a four-level shared basement, with approximately 3,700sqm of ground-floor retail and food & beverage tenancies, a 1,000sqm civic plaza (retained by Council), new laneway connections and over 2,300sqm of resident amenities.

Fast-tracked through the Victorian Government’s Development Facilitation Program, the project received planning approval in February 2026. MCG Consult has been engaged to deliver civil engineering services across all design and construction phases — including stormwater drainage, ground plane levels design, external works, WSUD strategy and Council drainage diversions.
